Transactional Environmental Work
- The firm represented institutional buyers of the sites of former aerospace manufacturing facilities. Tasks included managing complex environmental assessments under very limited time constraints, negotiating the scope of future investigation and/or remediation, negotiating indemnities from sellers, and securing environmental liability insurance to cover any residual risk.
- The firm represented an institutional buyer of a portfolio of industrial real estate comprising approximately 200 facilities. An audit of the seller’s environmental management system and follow-up investigation of certain properties was completed to client’s satisfaction in approximately 30 days.
- The firm represented owners and buyers of real estate seeking “no further action” letters or similar assurances from state environmental agencies under voluntary cleanup programs in several states.
