Practice Areas
Mr. Baig's diverse practice focuses on complex civil litigation. He handles contract, consumer fraud and business tort litigation; class action cases; post-acquisition earn-out disputes; reinsurance and insurance disagreements; securities litigation; toxic tort and environmental contamination cases; employer/employee disputes; and criminal and civil appeals before the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. Mr. Baig also serves as outside general counsel to a number of closely-held businesses, advising them with regard to negotiation and drafting of various business agreements, acquisitions and dispositions of business assets, protection of intellectual property rights, and other ongoing business management matters.

Professional Associations & Affiliations
Mr. Baig is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Northern, Central and Southern Districts, the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and the Illinois Supreme Court. Mr. Baig has appeared pro hac vice and has litigated cases in state and federal courts across the United States. Mr. Baig is a member of the American Bar Association's Litigation Section and the Illinois State Bar Association. He is a past member of the Chicago Bar Association's Judicial Evaluation Committee.

Mr. Baig is committed to pro bono and community service. Mr. Baig serves as a guardian ad litem in the Illinois probate courts and works with the Center for Disability and Elder Law, representing the elderly in various matters. Through an affiliation with the Chicago Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, Mr. Baig has served as an instructor in "Introduction to Legal Learning," an intensive month-long program designed to prepare incoming students at Chicago area law schools for the rigors of the first year curriculum. Mr. Baig has taught trial advocacy to high school seniors in the Chicago Public Schools. He is also actively involved in youth sports in his community, as a coach and administrator.

Mr. Baig joined KUBASIAK, FYLSTRA, THORPE & ROTUNNO, P.C. as a Shareholder in 2009. Prior to joining the firm, he worked for the firms of Foley & Lardner, LLP and Hopkins & Sutter.
